Acrylic paintings of figures, symbolism, and plants on recycled, aged fence planks, woods, vintage text pages, and mixed media collages.

I started painting on torn down fence pieces and plywood left in piles around local neighborhoods after back to back hurricanes tore through the area.

The plant imagery grew from tending potted plants on my porch today inherited from both of my grandmothers. I found so many narratives from the infinitely tangled relationships and the balance of good, bad, and protective love in us all. DogInPaint is literal--the dogs are usually sleeping under the work table...or walking right though the wet paint to help out.
